Terms of Service

Colafish is a free, personal, non-commercial portfolio-tracking tool operated by Roberto Passini (the "operator"). By creating an account, signing in, or using the site — including guest mode — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What Colafish is — and is not
Colafish is not investment advice. It is a tracking and visualization tool for data you provide. Nothing on this site — no chart, projection, allocation view, plan, or number — is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, and the operator is not a licensed financial advisor, broker, or bank. Every investment decision you make is yours alone, at your own risk.
2. Data accuracy
Prices, fund compositions, exchange rates, and listing details come from third-party sources (Yahoo Finance, JustETF factsheets, ECB reference rates). They can be delayed, incomplete, or plainly wrong, and imported broker files can be parsed imperfectly. The service is provided for orientation only — always verify figures with your broker before acting on them. The operator gives no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any number shown.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password and devices secure; actions taken through your session count as yours.
- Provide a real email address you control — it is how account matters, including deletion requests, are handled.
- One account is for one person. Do not share credentials.
4. Guest mode
Using Colafish without an account keeps all data in your own browser. It never reaches the server, is not backed up, and is permanently lost if you clear your browsing data. The operator cannot recover it.
5. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to breach, probe, or overload the service, access other users' data, scrape the site, or use it for anything unlawful. The operator may suspend or remove accounts that do.
6. Availability, changes, and backups
This is a personal project run on modest infrastructure and offered free of charge. There is no uptime guarantee, and features may change or the service may be discontinued. Where reasonably possible, discontinuation will be announced in advance so you can take your data with you. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
7. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account by emailing the address below. The operator may terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the service — including investment losses, data loss, or decisions made on the basis of information shown here. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as for intent or gross negligence.
9. Privacy
How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, the date above changes and the update will be noted on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Exclusive place of jurisdiction is the operator's domicile in Switzerland, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that grant you a different forum.
